Following up on our recommended tv shows/movies and books, here are a few podcasts for entrepreneurs:
1) NPR How I Built This
This has to be one of my favorite podcasts as an entrepreneur. NPR’s Guy Raz interviews top founders across all industries on their journey to success. My favorite episodes feature Sara Blakely of Spanx and Joe Gebbia of Airbnb. Episodes range from 30 minutes to an hour and a half.
2) The GaryVee Audio Experience
I would listen to this every morning taking the train to classes. Gary Vee’s energy was great to start my day with! His podcasts are updated daily with new information in multiple industries, specifically with a marketing/strategy focus. It’s great to take a listen to stay in the know about current trends. Lately, he’s been talking about the digital art space (NFTs). Episodes typically range from 10-45 minutes.
3) HBR Idea Cast
HBR stands for “Havest Business Review,” where senior editors Alison Beard and Curt Nickisch host and interview leaders in business and management. A recent episode discusses new strategies for a post-covid world. Most episodes are under 30 minutes.
4) Freakonomics Radio
Each week, Freakonomics Radio tells you “things you always thought you knew (but didn’t) and things you never thought you wanted to know (but do)” from the economics of sleep to how to become great at just about anything. Featured on the podcast are entrepreneurs and various underachievers. Episodes are typically a little under an hour.
5) TED Talks Daily
Lastly, I wanted to include TED Talks Daily. Episodes are 10-20 minutes and include the latest talks in audio with thought-provoking ideas on a variety of subjects, by the world’s leading thinkers and creators. Lately, topics have included tech, career tips, and the future.
6) The Mindset Mentor
When starting a venture, having a mentor is extremely beneficial. Featuring Rob Dial and Kast Media, this podcast is great for staying motivated. Recent topics include “The 5 Steps to be More Self-Disciplined,” “7 Tips to Maximize Your Focus & Productivity,” and more. Episodes are typically under 30 minutes.
These podcasts are mostly cover Business & Tech. Feel free to explore other topics (on Spotify) such as Educational, Comedy, Music, Lifestyle and Health, and more.
