Join us as Marlon and Rodney share insights on their careers, varying expertise and journeys as founders with you. This event is part of our weekly fireside chat series of Code Fever & BlackTech Week’s first-of-its-kind VC in Residence program, where America’s top VC’s spend a month in Miami advising and guiding Black, Latinx and Caribbean entrepreneurs begins April 3, 2017. Sponsored by The Knight Foundation.
The program’s first VC in Residence is Marlon Nichols, Co-founder and Managing Partner at Cross Culture Ventures, former investment director at Intel Capital, and one of our nation’s trailblazers in culture and inclusion in tech investing. Entrepreneur-in-residence programs are commonly hosted at universities, tech accelerators, corporations and VC firms and serve to support entrepreneurs, solve problems, and help innovate. Code Fever believes that borrowing from this model, and inviting VC’s to spend a month in residence in communities where there’s little access to funding, can completely reshape the way Black communities are valued in the innovation sector. -Office Hours with Rodney Williams available via phone upon request on 4/22
