The Launch Pad at the University of Miami is thrilled to celebrate a major milestone for ChargeBay, an innovative startup co-founded by Manan Ahuja and Ansh Bhatt.
The ChargeBay team has recently been awarded two non-dilutive grants and taken home a total of $8,000 in cash prizes. ChargeBay addresses the growing challenge of finding affordable and accessible EV chargers—an increasingly critical need for apartment complexes and businesses.
ChargeBay’s innovative system leverages existing electrical infrastructure to dramatically reduce installation costs, eliminate hidden fees, and simplify the process of offering EV charging as a built-in amenity. Their smart load management technology monitors real-time energy usage and dynamically distributes power across multiple chargers, ensuring total consumption stays within available capacity.
In addition, ChargeBay offers a user-friendly app that streamlines booking and management, delivering a seamless experience for both EV drivers and property managers.
At The Launch Pad, we’ve had the privilege of coaching and supporting the ChargeBay team throughout their entrepreneurial journey. From refining their pitches to navigating the startup landscape, we’ve watched Manan, Ansh, and their team grow into a passionate, mission-driven, and community-focused group of innovators.
These grants are a testament to ChargeBay’s dedication, resilience, and creativity. We couldn’t be prouder to witness their success, and we’re excited to see what the future holds for them.
Update:
Congratulations to Chargebay! Two weeks ago on May 22nd, Chargebay took second place and a cash award in the annual Spark Hollywood pitch event. In addition to their success at the competition, they met and made connections with the Broward County Chief of Economic Development, the Leadership Broward CEO (both judges at the competition), and the Assistant City Manager of the City of Hollywood; who are all long-standing professional acquaintances within the ecosystem.
The Launch Pad also connected Chargebay with a successful real estate developer/redeveloper from the local Miami area. This developer, an archetypal customer in their target segment, has taken ChargeBay under his wing, offering invaluable insights into the turn-key solutions they should offer. Their second meeting last week was an incredible learning and traction-gaining opportunity for the ChargeBay founders. Once finalized, this deal will be their first in Miami-Dade, providing a showcase installation for a broader clientele.
Finally, The Launch Pad has selected ChargeBay to participate in the International Competition for Entrepreneurs (ICE) in Montego Bay this June. The ChargeBay founders are determined and highly coachable. Their rapid progress suggests they will continue to produce important news moving forward as they remain focused and execute on their vision. We here at the Launch Pad are thrilled with their success and look forward to seeing their future accomplishments!
